At MXP and about to board my flight to VIE on my way to International Hotel Technology Forum (IHTF).
Got some time to muse on the state of the art in #disruption management. My Austrian Airlines flight was rescheduled and anticipated to a 7am departure 😴 while the event begins in the afternoon.
No big complains and that was handled professionally, although I would have much preferred to opt for the super-comfy overnight Trenitalia train or even for the Ryanair - Europe’s Favourite Airline morning flight, but cross-carrier rerouting is still something we can only dream of in most cases.
It doesn’t have to be though: #Web3 #vouchers could implement this scenario, easing the orchestration and settlement among all involved brands and ultimately making the traveler - me in this case 😉 - happy.
